This piece represents an ancient Masii tradition of a young man's passage into being an elite Moran warrior. To achive this rank the warrior would have to kill a lion either with a knife or spear in hand combat. It was believed that part of the lion's soul would be imparted on to the warrior's. Leo Nero (the Black Lion) represents the moment of that transference of soul.

Leo Nero stands 26 inches tall on a hand made drum. He is a one-of-a-kind soft sculpture. Sold
